Individual EMDR and trauma-focused psychotherapy with me is designed to help you finally feel unstuck, instead of endlessly coping with the same triggers. I specialize in PTSD and complex trauma and am certified in EMDR, so you receive an evidence-based approach that directly targets the memories, sensations, and beliefs that keep you on high alert or shut down.
In our one-on-one work, you stay in control of the pace. I start by helping you build tools for grounding, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of safety in your body. Only when you feel ready do I guide you into EMDR reprocessing, using structured protocols to gently process painful experiences, shift entrenched negative beliefs (like "I am not safe" or "It was my fault"), and reduce the intensity of flashbacks, nightmares, or intrusive images.
Sessions take place virtually, which means you can create a comfortable environment at home and avoid exhausting commutes or crowded waiting rooms. Many clients find this especially helpful when trauma has made public spaces, driving, or childcare coordination overwhelming.
Over time, you can expect to notice fewer trauma responses running your day, more choice instead of automatic reactions, and a clearer sense of who you are beyond what happened to you. For some, I integrate elements of Internal Family Systems-informed work to support healing between different "parts" of you that may hold fear, shame, or anger.
If you are curious about EMDR but unsure if it is right for you, I also offer EMDR-only sessions for those who already have another therapist, as well as broader EMDR Therapy Sessions for clients who want trauma work embedded in ongoing psychotherapy. My goal is to offer a calm, non-judgmental space where your story is honored and your nervous system can finally start to rest.
